Barrie, ON, February 3, 2016– “Buyer Confidence Continues”

 

“Sellers are happy these days” Says Mike Douglas, President of the Barrie & District Association of REALTORS® Inc.

 

Within the City of Barrie, detached residential properties posted an average selling price for the month of January 2016 of $396,908, an increase of 9% over January 2015.

Residential Townhouse, Link and Semi-Detached homes in the City of Barrie posted an average selling price of $288,200 in January 2016, an increase of 14% over January 2015 activity.

 

Condominium sales average for the City of Barrie for the month of January 2016 was $214,050, a 1% increase over January 2015.

 

In Essa Township, detached residential properties posted an average selling price of $380,900 in January 2016, a decrease of 12% as compared to January 2015.

Detached residential properties in the Town of Innisfil posted an average selling price of $401,500 in January 2016, an increase of 18% over the month of January 2015.

 

The average selling price for detached residential properties in Oro-Medonte in January 2016 was $454,320, an increase of 4% over January 2015.

 

Detached residential homes in Springwater Township posted an average selling price in January 2016 of $396,262, a 7% decrease over January 2015 activity.
