Who Do You Turn To For Weather Information?

Today residents of Barrie, and most of our region in fact, are digging out of  what was definitely the worst snow storm of the season. While radio and television stations do a fairly good job of tracking weather systems such as the storm that blanketed our region overnight, there are several other options availalbe for up to date weather information.

If you a Facebook user, consider "liking" the Ontario Blizzard Watch Facebook page. Their coverage of upcoming storms, road conditions and snow day predictions is extremely accurate and current.

For satellite radar images, visit the Federal Government's Canadian Weather Radar Website, The Weather Network or Accuweather.com for up to the minute satellite imagery.

If you are heading out in a storm, visit the Ministry of Transportation's Winter Road Conditions website and use the interactive maps to check out roads you are travelling on. Of course, the Weather Network is always a valuable resource as well and if you are not near a computer, you can tune in to channel 505 on Bell Television and channel 23 on Rogers.

Don't get left out in the cold!
